Services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at 2P.M. at United Bethel Church (Crawford County) with the Reverend Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hart's Mortuary. The family may be contacted at the residence, telephone number 478-935-2515. -Mrs. Long was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hamlin and the late Leola Tysinger Elkins Hamlin and the wife of the late Willie Clyde Long. She was predeceased by three children, Marvin Long, Nickey Long, and Brenda Wagner. Mrs. Long loved cooking and dancing. She was well known for her biscuits and banana pudding and was the best biscuit maker in Georgia. -Mrs. Long is survived by eight children, Dianne Smith of Lizella, Jean (W.L.) Newman of Gray, Sherry (John) Majors of Macon, Frankie (Liz) Long, Sarah (Butch) Bittner, and Alton Long, all of Lizella, Arlene (Cleve) Long of Macon and Susan Pearson of Lizella; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, several sisters-in-law. -Hart's Mortuary and Crematory has charge of arrangements.
