Event Notes Note (1) The Macon Telegraph; Wednesday, January 12, 2005, Page B-4: Nicholas Lee "Nickey" Long -LIZELLA - Funeral services for Nicholas Lee "Nickey" Long will be held at 2P.M., Thursday at the Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Long, age 60, died Monday, January 10, 2005. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Clyde Long and his sister, Brenda Sue Wagner. -He was born in Dade County, FL and lived in Lizella most of his life. He was employed at Peacock Sheet Metal, Pritchett Heating & Air and R.J. Grubbs Construction Co. until he became disabled. -Survivors include: his mother, Dorothy Hamlin Long of Lizella; his son, Jeffrey Adam Long (Brianne) of Gray; his brothers, Marvin Long, Frankie Long, and Alton Long, all of Lizella; his sisters, Dianne Smith, Jean Newman, Susan Long and Sarah Bittner, all of Lizella, Sherry Majors and Arlene Long, both of Macon. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Portsbridge Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210. -Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. -Goddard Funeral Home of Roberta has charge of the arrangements.
