The 1870 cenus was conducted during the month of August, and William is listed in the home of Henry Britt at the age of 1 year, placing his birth in 1869 rather than 1870. Had William been born September 1870, he would not be listed on the 1870 census, which was conducted in August of that year. Note (9) The 1900 census indicates that Mollie (Mary) was born May 1870. Her death certificate indicates she was born May 20, 1871. Until other data can be validated, her date of birth from the death certificate information is used, since she nor her family has been located on the 1870 census. Note (10) Mollie's death certificate does not state where she is buried; except in Fort Valley. It would seem that she would be buried at Oaklawn Cemetery, in Fort Valley, next to her husband William Henry. Even though she is marked as widowed, his name as Spouse is not indicated on her death certificate. If both are buried at Oaklawn, both are in unmarked graves.
