Britt Rites To Be Today FORT VALLEY, Dec 18 - Horace Wesley Britt, 52, died at his residence near Byron late Tuesday. A native of Crawford County, Britt had lived in Peach County for a number of years. He was employed here at the Blue Bird Body Company. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Roxie Walton; two daughters, Mrs. Wiley Patterson, Byron, and Mrs. Homer Gasset, Fort Valley; three sons, J. W., Lewis, and Royce, all of Byron; one sister, Mrs. Hollis Clay, Pelham; two brothers, Solie of Cairo, and Forest of Hartford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Union Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a homemaker. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Valley. Burial will be in Little Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Crawford County. Elder Norman Randall will officiate. A Crawford County native, Mrs. Britt was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Knoxville, Ga. Survivors include two daughters, Julia Patterson and Evelyn Gassett, both of Fort Valley; two sons, J. W. Britt of Fort Valley and Royce Britt of Miami; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
