 -FORT VALLEY 
- Evelyn Britt Gassett, age 77, died Monday, January 10, 2005. Services will
be 2P.M., Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Bethany Primitive Baptist Church,
corner or Courtland Avenue and Warwick Street in Fort Valley, with burial
following in Oaklawn Cemetery. Elder Roger McDonald, Elder Norman Randall and
Elder Hal McNeely will officiate.
-Born in Crawford County to Roxie Walton and Horace Britt, Mrs. Gassett was a
homemaker, retired from Kellwood Co., and a member of Bethany Primitive Baptist
Church.
 -Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Homer W. Gassett of Fort Valley;
children, Charlotte and Jerry Allen of Byron and Tommy and Debbie Gassett of
Fort Valley; grandchildren, Dena Heath, Chris Allen, Shannon Buchanan and Lynne
Cabrol; eight great grandchildren; sister, Julia Patterson of Fort Valley;
brother, Royce Britt.
 -In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Bethany Primitive
Baptist Church, c/o James O. Bowden, 725 Powers Road, Fort Valley, Georgia
31030.
-The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January
12, 2005 at Bethany Primitive Baptist Church. Family may be contacted at 118
Forsyth Street in Fort Valley.
 -Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley has charge of arrangements.
