Graveside services will be 3P.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2004 in Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Born in Crawford County, Mrs. Walton worked at Carter's Mill and was retired from Blue Bird Wanderlodge and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church since 1950. Survivors include husband, Davis Walton of Fort Valley; children, Danny and Marisa Walton of Lizella; Cheryl and George McCranie of Fort Valley, Ramona and Richard Tolbert of Fort Valley; step-children, James C. Walton of Fort Valley and Beverly Hill of Biloxi, MI; sisters, Evelyn McGill, Ora Marshall, Carolyn Dampier, Dorothy Ambrose and Winson Pressley; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 14 at Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley. The family may otherwise be contacted at the residence. Graveside services will be 2P.M., Saturday, February 26, 2005 in Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley. -Mr. Walton was born in Crawford County and had live there all of his life. He was the son of the late Maggie and Clinton Walton. He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Jewel Walton. Mr. Walton was a farmer and drove a school bus for twenty years. He retired from Blue Bird Body Company in Fort Valley. -Survivors son, James C. Walton, Sr. of Crawford County; daughter, Beverly Walton Hill of Mississippi; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. -The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
