Marshall, age 91, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 at her residence. -Mrs. Marshall was born in Crawford County to the late John Wesley Long, Sr. and Annie Maude Becham Long. She retired as a sales clerk for F.W. Woolworth's, and served as Secretary for the Georgia State Fair, Women's Division for over fifty years. She was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church where she was Past President of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and of the XYZ Senior Citizens Club and was a member of the Lizella Eastern Star. Her loves were her children and grandchildren, her church and church family, working with her flowers and garden, and crocheting. She always had her suitcase packed ready to travel in case one of her family members asked her to go. -Mrs. Marshall was the widow of Monroe Marshall and predeceased by great grandson, Christopher Layfield; four brothers; and three sisters. -Surviving are her children, Clara Joyce Mosely of Lizella, Ann Green of Crawford County, Monroe Alvin Marshall (Evelyn) of Lizella, and Elaine Wills Morgan (Deryl) of Lizella; grandchildren, Kyler F. Mosely, Steven Dale Mosely, Thomas M. Green, Teresa Green, James E. Green, Laverne Slaton, Barbara Layfield, Lisa Abbott, Sheila Williams, B.J. Brown, Stacy Brewer, Dave S. Wills, Jr., Michael E. Wills, John E. Wills, Darron Morgan; step-grandchildren, Michael McClurg, Leroy McClurg, Pam Ray; sisters, Dorothy Ambrose, Evelyn McGill, Winsom Pressley, all of Roberta, Carolyn Dampier of Lakeland, GA; sisters in law, Lillie Mae Marshall of Greer, SC, Dorothy Long and Ollie Sanders, both of Lizella, and numerous nieces and nephews. -She was "My Mama" to 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. -Funeral services will be 2P.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Lizella United Methodist Church. The Reverend Rob McDaniel, and Mr. Don Blair will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. -Visitation will be 6:30 until 8:30 P.M. at Hart's Mortuary. The family may be contacted at the residence. -Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be directed to Lizella United Methodist Church, 2920 South Lizella Rd., Lizella, GA 31052 or the organization of one's choice. -Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
