Thomas, 75, died Saturday, July 15, 2000. A lifelong resident of Crawford County, she was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Henry A. Thomas Sr.; children, Henry A. Thomas, Robert W. Thomas and Annie Ruth Price, all of Knoxville, Eloise Hallman of Fort Valley and Kay Thomas Barbee of Forsyth; sisters, Ora Marshall of Lizella, Hazel Smith of Knoxville, Evelyn McGill of Musella, Jewel Walton of Fort Valley, Carolyn Dampier of Lakeland, Fla., and Dorothy Ambrose and Winson Pressley, both of Roberta; eight grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Goddard Funeral Home, Roberta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund. B-5, Column 1: Henry Albert Thomas Sr. Knoxville - Funeral services for Henry Albert Thomas, Sr. will be held Saturday, September 1, 2001 at 10 a.m. in Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial wil be in the church cemetery. Mr. Thomas, age 73, died Tuesday, August 28, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Long Thomas. He was born in Houston County and had lived most of his life in Crawford County. He worked for several sawmill companies for many years. He attended Bethel United Methodist Church and was a member of Lizella Masonic Lodge # 663 and was a charter member of the Crawford County Lodge # 689. He was a dedicated Mason and a retired farmer. Survivors include his children, Robert W. Thomas, Henry Albert Thomas, Jr. and Annie Ruth Price, all of Knoxville, Kay Thomas Barbee of Forsythe and Eloise Hallman of Fort Valley; his sisters, Ollie Sanders of Lizella, Kathryn Harris of Macon, Martha Wood of Danville, Georgia and Martha Thomas Helton of Richmond, Virginia; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1119 Sandy Point Road, Knoxville, GA 31050.
