Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley, Sr. and Annie Maude Becham Long; husbands, E.H. Britt, Sr. and Zelma L. McGill and 11 siblings, Thalen, Infant, Lizzie Ruth, Joseph Thurston Long, Sr., John Wesley Long, Jr., Willie Clyde Long, Jody Wallace Long, Mollie Ruth Long Thomas, Hazel Louise Long Smith, Emma Jewel Long Mitchell Walton, and Ora Velma Long Marshall. -Survivors include her children, E.H. "Buddy" Britt (Wanda), Musella, Rozine B. Bickel (Don), Roberta; grandchildren, Valerie Paige Britt-Holliday Phipps (Edward), South Carolina, Shelli Attaway (Jeremy), Macon, Austin Che' Britt, Musella; and sisters, Winson L. A life-long resident of Crawford County, she dearly loved gardening, cooking, and baking. She was a caregiver to other and gave freely and sincerely of herself to others, never asking anything in return. Lovingly, others referred to her as simply "Mama". Having only an 8th grade education, Evelyn nurtured many people with her love, care, and common sense of life. -Funeral services to be held at Bethel United Methodist Church on Sandy Point Road on Saturday, September 20th at 2P.M., burial to follow in the Roberta City Cemetery. -Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1119 Sandy Point Road, Knoxville, GA 31050. -Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. -Goddard - McLeighton Funeral Home of Roberta is in charge of arrangements.
