She was the former Miss Carrie Britt, daughter of J. J. and Fannie Britt. She is survived by her husband; four sons, W. M. and W. H. of Perry; B. W. of Macon and R. H. of Ft. Valley; five daughters, Mrs. Blanche Flint of South Paris, Me., Mrs. Ruby Clements, Macon; Mrs. Evelyn Crook, Putnam, Conn.; Mrs. Florrie Harris and Mrs. Ruth Bryant of Ft. Valley. Funeral services will be held in Bethney Church, Ft. Valley, at 3 p.m. Sunday. Elders W. H. Hancock and C. E. Darity will officiate and burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Note (3) Research indicates that Carrie Britt, daughter of John Jasper Britt Sr., married William Harmon Thames. Validation of marriage records at the courthouse has not been accomplished, to determine why the transcriber listed William as a Harris. Carrie and husband William Harmon Thames, are buried side-by-side in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fort Valley, Georgia.
