Event Notes Note (1) Austin, Texas; American-Statesman; Saturday, July 3, 1993; Page B-4, Column 4: Note (2) His funeral was held on Saturday, July 3, at 3 p.m. at Weed-Corley Chapel, Austin, Texas. His obituary said he was born at Portales, New Mexico. He graduated from Wst Texas State College in 1934. He and wife "Betty" taught school in the Fairview community, near Claude, Texas, and at Dexter, New Mexico. During WW II, he was an instructor of airplane mechanics in Illinois, Nebrasks, Michigan, and Washington. After the war, he and his wife returned to Canyon and began a homebuilding business. In 1957, he moved to Austin and continued building homes there, until his retirement. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. He was built very much like Earl Reynolds, tall and slender, and they looked very much alike; could pass for father and son (Edith's opinion). Note (3) Married in the Sternenberg Home.
