Thames Sr., died yesterday in a local hospital after a brief illness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Macon Memorial Park. Mrs. Thames, of 3468 Napier Ave., was born in Zenith but had lived in Macon 60 years and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, J. C. Thames Jr. of Douglasville and Joel E. Thames of Macon; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The family will be at 320 Alexandria Drive, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joel E. Thames. Memorial Chapel is in charge.
