Notes for: Alford Long

Alford indicated on the 1880 census that his father was born in North Carolina. Crawford County Returns 1849-1853 show that Alford Long was appointed Guardian for his own children for the estate of their grandfather, Thomas Dickson. After his baptism, Alford served as Mount Paran Church clerk for several years, and went as a delegate to many of their association meetings.
