Rozine Britt Bickel attended the funeral of Verlin Britt Yaughn today and met her son, Mac. We spoke briefly and I explained my connection to the family. Verlin's grandfather and my great grandfather were brothers. (Henry N. Britt and John Jasper Britt, Sr.,)
Verlin's grandson, Rev. Edlee Mixon delivered the eulogy at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Verlin never spoke a bad word about anyone her grandson stated. She always had time to get a 'Nuway" hotdog, too! She listened to and cared for others. He mentioned she had been in poor health for the past 10 or so years. He mentioned that Verlin had a sister (?) who was adopted. I will contact Mac and get that information straight after the family has had some time to settle after the funeral.
