Notes for: Thomas Edgar Britt

Some researchers have Thomas Edgar Britt as the son of John Carey Britt. A schedule of property for homestead exemption has been located in Crawford County, Georgia. The homestead was submitted by Thomas' father John C. Britt. Listed on the homestead are wife Francis Britt; minor children under 16 years: William Dawson, Thomas Jefferson, and Clara Belle. At this point, I am beginning to believe that Thomas Jefferson is the son of John Cary Britt, son of Jesse D. Britt, and Thomas Edgar Britt is the son of John Cary Britt, son of Levi Britt. Further research is required on this one. In addition, Thomas Edgar Britt was supposedly born in Forsyth, Monroe County. In 1880, John Carey Britt (father) was living in Crawford County. It would seem then, the John living in Monroe County, was the son of Levi.
